Date:
Friday, April 27, 2018 to Sunday, April 29, 2018
Location:
Camp Norse
Description:

Tulpe 102, ORDER OF THE ARROW WELCOMES YOU!

Congratulations!  The members of your troop have elected you to the Order of the Arrow.  It is hoped that you will soon undertake your Ordeal.

Please remember that you have one year from the date of your election to complete your Ordeal!  You must pre-register prior to your Ordeal, so plan accordingly!

The Lodge Ordeal weekends are listed on the Tulpe Lodge web site www.tulpelodge.org which can also be accessed through the Narragansett Council web site www.narragansettbsa.org . Fees are listed on the site, as well as a link to the on-line registration system. The fee includes meals, sash, collectible member only lodge flap, OA Handbook, and lodge dues for the current year.

Check in time is from 6:00 -7:30 pm on Friday.  There is no meal served on Friday night, so you should eat before you arrive.   Checkout is Sunday at approximately 10:30 am, following a brief introductory Lodge meeting.  You need to be there for the whole weekend.   If you have religious obligations on Sunday, you should check with the registrar upon check-in on Friday. Under special circumstances, members may be permitted to leave as early as 10 pm Saturday following the Ordeal induction ceremony, provided that the Lodge Adviser is notified by a parent in advance.

Each candidate will need to bring the following: Completed medical form (Parts A&B), tent [Scouts may share tents], ground cloth [we suggest 2 – one for under your tent, one for your sleeping bag on Friday evening], sleeping bag, backpack or gear bag (trash bags will not do the job!), a three foot length of string, a carved arrow (6-12 inches in length) out of a piece of wood, flashlight, scout knife, work gloves, water bottle or hydration system, personal hygiene gear, sunscreen, insect repellant, work clothes, work shoes/boots, your full field uniform on a hanger, money for saleables [if you wish], a poncho or raingear [in case it rains], and plenty of Scout Spirit!

IT IS CRITICAL THAT YOU BRING A TARP LARGE ENOUGH TO WRAP AROUND YOU AND YOUR SLEEPING BAG!

Keep this sheet for your records and register for the ordeal of your choice on-line at www.tulpelodge.org, or submit the registration form, with your check to the Scout Service Center in East Providence, or the Scout Shops in Warwick or Swansea.
