Active Arrowman Award

The Active Arrowman Award, created in 2019 by the Tulpe Lodge Executive Committee, is an award attainable for every youth and adult Arrowman in Tulpe Lodge. This award is presented in the form of segments of a patch set with a limit of one per Arrowman. The patch has seven segments which form a large turtle back-patch.

The seven segments are as follows:

  • Ordeal Completion
  • Brotherhood Completion
  • Chapter Involvement
  • Banquet Attendance
  • Lodge Fellowship Attendance
  • Committee Involvement
  • Unit Elections

Award Qualifications

Do you have what it takes to be an Active Arrowman?

Please complete ONE of the following requirements to earn your Committee Involvement segment. Reach out to the committee leadership to get started on the requirements.

Black Shirts
  • Help with 3 ceremony site set-ups
Brotherhood
  • Help with 2 Brotherhood conversion trails
Unit Relations (unit.relations@tulpelodge.org)
  • Help conduct an election for 4 Units
Communications (communications@tulpelodge.org)
Do 2 of the following:
  • Contribute to 2 newsletters
  • Submit quality photos from 2 OA events for publication
  • Help with a current project
Ceremonies (ceremonies@tulpelodge.org)
  • Help with 3 ceremonies
Elangomats
  • Serve as an Elangomat for 2 Ordeals
Nimat (nimat@tulpelodge.org)
  • Help at 3 Brotherhood Conversions
Service (service@tulpelodge.org)
  • Provide camp service at 2 Ordeals
  • Complete 10 hours of service in the OA or Council
Training
Do 2 of the following:
  • Train a cell at Lodge Leadership Development (LLD)
  • Attend all cells at Lodge Leadership Development (LLD)
  • Attend National Leadership Seminar (NLS)
  • Attend another OA leadership seminar (NEF, LES, etc.)

  • Help organize & run 3 Unit Elections

Please complete the following requirements to earn your Chapter Involvement segment. Reach out to your Chapter leadership to get started on this requirement. View chapter contact information by clicking here.

  • Attend 3 Chapter meetings
  • Attend 1 Chapter event or service project

Please complete EACH requirement listed to receive the corresponding segment.

Ordeal Completion
  • Complete your Ordeal
  • Attend 1 other Lodge event
Brotherhood Completion
  • Complete your Brotherhood Conversion at an Ordeal or at Summer Camp at Camp Yawgoog (Thursday nights).
  • Serve as a staff member for 1 Ordeal
Annual Lodge Family Banquet
  • Attend 1 Family Banquet
Lodge Fellowships
  • Attend 1 Winter Fellowship
  • Attend 1 Fall Fellowship
